An exciting opportunity now exists for an Ecommerce Specialist to join the Dymocks Ecommerce team!
As the Ecommerce Specialist, you will be responsible for growing online store revenue through the development and execution of effective trade, merchandising and optimisation strategies. This role combines commercial ownership with technical understanding.
A key focus in this role is leveraging customer and sales data to plan and execute the trade calendar, optimise the shopping experience, and improve performance across all funnel metrics. This role is a highly collaborative role, working closely with our Marketing, Buying, and Technology teams.
Reporting to the Head of Ecommerce, you will be responsible for:
Trade & Merchandising:
Plan and execute the online trade calendar aligned to commercial and campaign priorities.
Lead onsite merchandising strategy including navigation, category, and landing pages.
Continuously optimise product discovery, product pages, and customer journeys to improve conversion.
Commercial Performance:
Own weekly and monthly reporting, delivering clear insights and actions.
Monitor and track performance against targets, identifying risks and opportunities.
Drive performance improvements across key metrics including conversion, AOV and revenue.
Platform & Technical Delivery:
Act as the day-to-day platform expert (Adobe Commerce / Magento).
Support improvements in technical SEO to support site visibility and performance.
Translate business needs into clear requirements for developers.
Maintain site performance and stability, owning issue identification, prioritisation, and UAT with developers.
Catalogue & Performance Channels:
Manage product feeds and catalogue prioritisation to support performance channels (e.g. Google Shopping).
Work with the Data Manager, Merchandise, and Marketing teams to ensure product data quality, structure and availability aligned to trade priorities.
Team & Execution:
Manage and mentor the Ecommerce Coordinator, building capability and ensuring consistent, high-quality execution.
Establish and maintain clear processes and documentation across all ecommerce operations.
Desired Skills and Experience
The successful candidate will have:
3+ years of ecommerce experience.
Experience working with ecommerce platforms (Adobe Commerce is a plus).
Demonstrated ability to drive online performance, including conversion, AOV and revenue growth.
Strong analytical capability (GA4 or customer data experience highly regarded).
Experience working with developers to deliver technical solutions.
Understanding of ecommerce best practices across merchandising, UX, and customer journey optimisation.
Knowledge of SEO fundamentals.
Excellent collaboration and stakeholder management.
Proactive, solutions-focused mindset with strong attention to detail.
