Job Description
The Ecommerce Manager will lead the optimisation, performance, and day-to-day operations of our eCommerce ecosystem. This is a critical role that leads our digital strategy, responsible for ensuring our online experience delivers against commercial goals and customer expectations. You’ll develop and lead a high-performing team responsible for customer acquisition, website experience, driving conversion, and optimising journeys across all digital touchpoints.
Within your remit is our online store, digital media, web analytics, SEO, affiliate programs, customer journey optimisation and conversion rate optimisation (CRO). You’ll work cross-functionally to ensure we deliver best-in-class experiences that convert, retain, and delight our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the end-to-end customer experience across our digital touchpoints, aligning with the business strategy and setting clear KPIs to motivate the team and grow the ecommerce revenue.
Lead the digital marketing campaign strategy, working with the broader marketing team to ensure that we create a unified and seamless digital experience across all our channels that increases our customer engagement and drives sales.
Manage the ecommerce specialist and support them in delivering the trading calendar and plan, ensuring the eCommerce platform meets daily, weekly, and monthly sales and conversion targets.
Manage the team responsible for day-to-day website operations, content management, promotions, and merchandising.
Own and execute the ecommerce enhancement roadmap, using data insights to define our approach to budget and prioritisation. Partner with IT and external UX/UI and dev teams on the development and deployment of new digital functionality and features.
Establish data reporting and customer insights that will enable you to prioritise based on commercial impact.
Understand and optimise customer journeys within our digital ecosystem to deliver against brand, customer, membership and revenue targets.
Manage the digital media agency and collaborate with them to deliver a cross-channel strategy that achieves core KPIs for: SEO, Search, Shopping, Socials, and affiliates.
Provide weekly and monthly reporting to leadership to demonstrate the impact of you and your team’s work.
Manage the website P&L to ensure that forecast and budget is accurate and understand where and how we grow margin.
Desired Skills and Experience
The Ideal candidate will have:
Proven experience in managing eCommerce platforms (Adobe Commerce is a plus) and digital operations in a retail environment.
Strong commercial acumen with a deep understanding of ecommerce operations and driving digital performance. Previous P&L management is a must.
Deep knowledge of digital channels - SEO, performance media and CRO best practices.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with a passion for developing talent.
Data first. Data-driven mindset with extensive experience using tools like Google Analytics.
Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
